Dipping sauce A for dumplings
This delightful sweet, sour, spicy and salty dipping sauce is the perfect accompanist for potstickers or Chinese dumplings. It elevates the dumpling dish to the next level.
Ingredients
- 60 ml soy sauce
- 45 ml water
- 45 ml honey
- 30 ml rice wine vinegar
- 1 red chili, finely chopped or 1/4 tsp chili flakes
- 6 cm fresh ginger, grated
- 2 spring onions, finely chopped
Instructions
- Pour the soy sauce, water and honey into a microwave proofed dish and heat for 20 seconds so the honey gets easily incorporated into the other ingredients.
- Add the other ingredients and stir to combine.
- I like to make the sauce a few hours ahead of the dumplings, so the flavors can develop.If you don't have the time for it, the sauce will still do it's magic to the dumplings.
